Actually that sounds kinda cool. Some of the most obvious stuff is the most over looked by the would-be thief. Kinda like putting the keys in the visor. "Nobody would ever ACTUALLY do THAT". They always look for more complicated things like hidden switches and stuff. Although if someone steals my car I want them to drive it off a cliff when done. I don't ever want to see it again.

why not just get a battery cutoff switch? Sounds like he has his signal lever rigged as a cutoff switch somehow....not sure how you'd do it though...

Why mess with a whole new switch when you have one so conveniently located? haha

Just use a crank lever. Noone would steal a car if they had to crank it first.

I would love to have the turn signal wired to act as a starter kill switch. If anybody knows how to do it please PM me.

Yeah, my Clifford alarm has the anti-carjack feature. It was annoying at first, but now that I moved out and my car is parked in a lot 2 blocks away, it's peace of mind. At least, I know that my car won't be going anywhere if it gets stolen.

I was carjack once and my car had a starter killer switch. I made it with $2.50. You buy an ON OFF switch at Radio Shack.... 16gage wire, one that is heat resitance and everything in it.... You aadd this to the starter hide inside the car and Presto... everytime you turn your car on, turn off the switch and no one other than you will be able to turn on the car if you turn it off. The carjackers were o a stealing spree that night and they saw a lady outside her house, they stop and turn off the car... when they went back into the car the car was DEAD,.... them they stole the ladies car........ They called me at 5AM to tell me they found the car.... They only took my books and my cd's.... and my Ohio State Jacket..... that what sucked about it.....

Yes, it turns on the interior light upon disarm.
Yes, the stereo and heat keep blasting once I take out the key (and they turn off when I open the door).
I have a 6spd, so I have to hit a button before I shut down so I can use remote start.
I need to hit a code everytime the door opens (car jack feature).

I guess you shouldn't use your turn signal while driving then.

i worked at a valet company in boston for a while and saw many cars with kill switches. the only one i couldn't crack was a vw jetta. you had to put on the driver's side seatbelt before you start the car. many of the others were the rear defrost or something. if you are really concerned about your car walking off without you, suggest to the installers that they install it to the "fasten seatbelt light" on the dash. these guys never wear seatbelts when boosting a hotbox.... my .o2

Um, why don't you ask your 'cuz' instead of asking us? Or am I missing something?
