6-speed clutch pedal
hey all, i just got my car back from the stealership today.. they were supposed to be working on the cold weather start up noise TSB, but they couldnt re-produce the sound...just my luck...well when i got the car back, the clutch is now considerably different....it used to be REALLY high off the ground and my knee would hit the dash every time i went to put it in...now its nice and low, and i really like how it feels...does anybody else have this problem? also, does anyone know how they fixed it, just for future reference....thanks!

it only has 33000 miles...it has been really high ever since i got it at 30k, and since i was used to a '91 honda accord with a clutch that was about 3 inches from the floor, i noticed it right away....
Here you go.
This came up a few months ago. I did this and it worked fine. You can place the pedal pretty much where you want it. The instructions are for a G35 but it's the same for the Max. On mine I was able to loosten the nut and turn the shaft. Much easier than what they have you do. You'll see what I mean in the instructions. Check it out http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1
You cant just place it where you want. you have to be careful and make sure that it will be completely disengaged when u lift it from the floor. You have to first drive the car in 5th gear and at a certain rpm and speed.
change the clutch and go for a drive and see if it matches. You also have to change the cruise switch and move it foward.

Btw Dave, the y-pipe worked out fine, except for soldering outside in 20 deg weather and for the fact that I broke a bolt and have a leak now... will get it repaired soon though....

thanks a lot derrick and fezzik...i probably wont be doing this any time soon, but just in case it happens again, i will...its a LOT better IMO, and from what i can tell, the RPMs are the same at all speeds and in every gear....

hey everyone, sorry for the bump, but even though my clutch pedal was a little lower, i decided to do what derrick said, and let me tell you, it is AWESOME! the clutch pedal is in such a much better place. It only took me about 25-30 min. to do, and i am not mechanically inclined at all!
(in comparison, it took me about 45 min. to replace my foglights!!
