2002-2003 STS Question.

What do you guys think of it... I have the opportunity to pick one up (used) but before I do I would like to know how you all feel about it both positive and negative.

Post what company made it first. There are only 2 places that have made an STS for the 5.5 Gens.

I love mine. I have no complaints. Shortens the throw by about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches.

Since they just came out, getting one used will probably not be easy. I'd just get one from HP and see if you can get one for 149. price... I stil think it was worth every penny.

I love mine. I would recommend them along with the bushings.

It's awesome. Def. get it! Some people say it pushes the 1-3-5 shifts a little farther forward but it's barely noticeable.

Yes, very sweet mod. Shortens the throw with no bad side effects. I love mine and haven't heard one bad report about them.

I have yet to hear a full review of the bushings. That is why I have not bought them yet. I also hear they have to be pressed out/in.

I haven't gotten the bushinge yet either. So far the shifter with the STS is very firm and precise. I'm not sure how the bushings would help or improve the feel at this point.

Yes, they are press fit. From what guys here have said, the one at the end of the cable under the hood can be a challenge to install.

I like it, but 1-3-5 is pushed forward. It's kinda annoying with 3, but actually a little hard to readh 5 sometimes. It does make the already notchy shifter even notchier. Overall I do like it and plan to keep it on...
