Heated Seat not working...totally

My drivers side heated seat does not completely work.

The back gets hot but the seat does not.

My back is warm but my **** is chilly!!!

I tried to look under the seat for a loose wire but no luck...anyone else have this problem and fixed it?

same thing on my 2k. There is a sheet of kinda-like fabric with a heat coil sewn into it. It was easy enough to replace. It's seperate from the it just plugs into a connecter piece. It lies under the upolstery. In my case the electric coil fractured and there was a little melted fabric around the broken part. Never had a problem with the backrest though. I wonder if they break when you put your knee on the seat to retrieve something you forgot in your car.

Farting... Brilliant!!!! But seriously.. My '02 is leaving me with a frigid fanny as well. How much of a pain is it to strip the leather cover off the seat bottom.. And how much is my wallet going to be stripped off?

My driver's seat went out completely once. Took it in under warranty and they replaced the switch I guess. Since yours is only the bottom part, I'm guessing it's a connection or the actual heating element itself.

I was lucky enough to get a cloth interior w/Meridian, and then installed my custom leather

My cloth seats heat up to 98.6 degrees within minutes of me sitting in them. If that seat heater goes out then I probably will have already taken up a new subterranean residence.
