kyb gr2s'.....

Kyb's Have Been Doing Good For Me On My Tein S.techs- A Lil Bouncy But Nothing Too Bad! I Heard Nothing But Good Things On The Tokico's And Was Actually Thinkin Of Gettin A Set Of The Illuminas To See If I Can Possibly Receive A Lil Smoother Ride. Love The S.tech Drop But Can Use A Lil Better Ride Quality On These Things! I Wont Knock Tokico's Though, They Seem Pretty Good From What The User's On Here Say Bout Em! Good Luck

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain GR2s are comparable to the Tokico HPs which are both OEM replacements, which will not help you any more than stock struts if you have lowering springs. Spend the extra $150 and get Illuminas or AGXs.

The S-Techs are the reason you ride is bouncy dummy. Seems like out of all the people who have lowered rides the STech owners know the least about their setup.
KYB is quality and I have had their GR2s on another car that has much stiffer stock springs than even Stechs. They ride nice. I would buy them over the blues, but not over the illuminas.

And anything you say is irrevelant because you are most likely 18 years old and know nothing about cars period. "ighettoboy"? Grow up. Contribute or don't post.
Like I was saying. I have driven with KYBs on my previous cars and also on a 5th gen maxima that had stechs. Unless you have more experience than I do ghettoboy please enlighten us.
KYB is a solid company, that has a solid product, with a lifetime warranty (as long as the drop is not over 1.4 inches). I cannot speak for Tokico. The GR2s are about 10% stiffer than stock struts and are not just simply OEM replacements (although they can be used that way).

Both of you are being warned. Personal attacks, including name calling, are not permitted in the 5th gen forum. Please re-read the 5th Gen Rules and Regulations thread at the top of the 5th gen forum. I am showing some leniency, as I suspect that the attacks were not intentional.

gr2's seem too inexpensive to me man...200 dollars for all 4 compared to like 450 for illuminas or 370ish for blues....i dunno mang, i dont want them blowing out soon or anything. i want teh struts to last a good 60k miles. how long have you had your stechs on your gr2s?

2 years on GR2s with no problems whatsoever. I also had them installed bya good shop, which I know did a great job because I assisted the guy doing it. I would never compare the gr2s to illuminas. Compare the AGX sport to the illuminas.
Taken from their website: "KYB is the world’s largest supplier of shocks and struts to vehicle manufacturers. KYB produces a variety of ride control products for use as original equipment and replacement parts in automobiles, motorcycles, light trucks, buses, rolling stock and industrial applications."
There are benefits to both companies.
