Paint/Headlight Protective Film

Has anyone installed the paint protective Film? What thickness did you use and what brand? Did you order the kit or a bulk sheet?

Has anyone done the same to thier headlights? How thick of film did you get?

Most of all was it worth it? We have a chit load of mosquitoes in Alaska and a bug deflector just looks AWFUL ( but it works). Please give me some information that may help me out on deciding to stay with a bug deflector or go with film.

There's this one protective film i know of that you can put on your headlight, made by 3M and they have them for the hood and bumper sort of like a car bra, but they are expensive.
