i found an alternator for about 185 at Bap Geon. It was a reman model but has a 12 month warranty. it works great. Just ask matt93se, he installed it

 

You take your alternator to get it rebuilt by a shop; unless you know what you are doing.

 

what are the signs of an alternator going out?

 

a sure sign of bad alternator = constantly dead battery

I have one OEM alternator that was taken out of a rear end collision 2001 Maxima with 11,000 miles on it. It is like brand new. I payed $180 for it a year ago. If you are intrested I will sell it for $120 plus shipping it is sitting in my closet in a box.
