open the clock. remove the red led. solder in a blue led (make sure you use correct resistors if the LED is a different size/strength)

but blue LEDs are SO 2004 j/k
I'm replacing all my blue led window switches and radio lighting with red as soon as it warms up (saw my buddy's Audi's interior, and damn that red looks slick)

I don't know if this is possible. The clock is actually an LCD unit, so I don't know if there is a way that you can really change it. What I did was glue a red peice of cellophane over the clock display effectivley changing the color from green to white. It's not any brighter, but it is white.

I think he means the little blinking LED that flashes when the alarm is set...not the LCD screen itself.

You might get a pink look, where you'd expected red with red LED's, especially the clear LEDs that shine red...just thought i'd give you a warning

No need for resistors or anything! Just remove old red one and replace/solder with blue one. Mine is a 3mm with 5000 MCD brightness. Beware, though, with this brightness, it really glows bright at night attracting attention to the interior of the car.
