Anyone with Gr2's and Illumnia ?.

I was wondering if the illumina on there sofest setting are softer and will absorb more bumps compared to the kyb's. i talked to jeff at maximum tunign and he said that kyb's are basiclly jsut the same as stock stuts so i bought them , but i have a feeling that illuminas might be softer, i live in nyc i have alot of uneven roads here, so i hate having to feel all the bumps in lowered on tein H tech. so is it true that the illumina will be softer then kyb gr2's ?

you dont really want softer shocks on bumps and uneven payment. you want them a lil stiff that way they can absorb the cracks in the roads more then just soft settings. but if you just get the illuminas you can decide foruself on the settings you want and adjust them to your road conditions...

I found the softest setting to be a little better then stock shocks on a SE. I currently have my shocks set on 3 for some more stiffness. The higher the setting, the more you feel the bumbs (i.e. more rigid.) I don't know about the shocks you got tho. Illuminas are for sport, yeah they can be adjusted, but they aren't going to give you the ride of a Lexus. You also get used to bumbs... thats what I did. Also, you want the stiffer suspension for control on the road.
