I'm planning on getting full %20 tint. I'm also going to get a bel 980 radar/laser detector. How will the tint affect it? thanks

 

I just had my tints installed.
I got the chrome smoke effect, i got the 35 and 20 percent chrome smoke effect. i got the lighter ones in front and darker in back.
Can't tell you bout the laser detector. I cant afford to speed anymore, i go freaking 55 exactly now, im more of a target with the tints.

i doubt the tint would efffect the radar detector all that much. i have a v1 it works great and i have 20% in back

 

My car his limo (5%) on all 5 windows and 35% on the entire windshield. I own a Bel 880. I drove from Las Vegas to Bloomington, IN and anytime a cop was near it alerted me(they have unmarked cars with radar on in the back while thier driving scary **** sometimes!). I don't know about rear coverage, but I'm not that concerned with getting tagged from behind. I'm no electrical engineer, but if your cel phone still gets through, the radar waves will too. Just my two cents.
