I have a 5.5 gen maxima
I have heard that certain ypipes remove the 2 of 3 cats. did the cattman do that for you?
Also hows the performance now?

What was the average damage ($$) for this?? Anyone in CA pass smog with it installed? I talking just fumes not visual inspection..

I don't believe the y-pipe removes the cats on a 5.5 gen. The headers definitely do remove the pre-cats.
