Hey guys,

Well as the road got a bit cleaner well, i decided to open up my car just a touch (well enough about 5000 rpms) in 2nd gear. All of a sudden my car just like choked, almost as if it just stopped getting air. It almost felt like wheel hop. Off the line when i started it up, the car didn't heat up real bad, it didn't even sound funny, though rpm did just jerk from 3000 to 5000 real bad and like choke when i try to give it more gas. I was wondering if it could be a dirty intake, but even when it's filthy it's not this bad. The car just stalled and i rolled to a light that turned red.

Also, now the car just feels very slow, it's lost alot of grunt. It feels like almost a slug. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

 

Certainly sounds like your MAF. Check with Dave B (his # is in the stickies) and he can probably get you one cheaper than anywhere else.

 

i'm gonna try and hitup nissan for one first... Maybe i can make that happen.

Trust me Dave B is known to get OEM Nissan parts cheaper than anyone. He is well known through this site.

 

i know man : ] I bought my HLSD from him, he's mad cool. I meant to say i'm going to try and get one for FREE through the warranty first, i got a hookup at a local nissan place.

 

Could be the dreaded VIAS malfunction. There is a link for this problem/fix in the Sticky how to's thread. Good luck, and if you need more help, every one on this forum is great, so don't be afraid to ask.

 

How much was the HLSD?
