Usually red is positive, so if that is true then white would be negative. Don't quote me on this one. I don't have the lights. Just going off my experience with wiring.

if the wires go directly to the bulb or LED that lights the angel eyes then try it one way, if it doesn't light, then try it the other way. It's a light bulb. But if there are circuitry behind it, then you might want to make sure. Red is usually (+)

Yeah figured it out, having trouble getting the halos to work, where are they supposed to hook up to exactly? Tried hooking it up to the wires that connect to the blue bulb (the one above the blinker, it stays on constantly), but it didn't work, so I'm guessing not enough current to power up the halo? Will hooking it up to the side markers suffice?

I ran halo wires into the running lamp wires so when I put on my parking lights the halos come on with them.

You know what happened, the leds in the right head light are blown!! The person I bought this off of, he's from the org, didn't tell me they were blown..So now I have to open these up and change the LEDs..I'm going to have to do both sides since I'm going with a different color than the one that came with the lights...What's the size for the led? The lights are in my car now, the blinkers are super bright! As for the output these things are fine, it is sorta spread out, but I can see! I'll take pics and toss on my cardomain site tomorrow maybe..I need the led size tho so I can go on ebay and get some new ones Thanks guys for your help btw!

one on mine is blown on the driver side, the h3 lamp (so you cant really tell when im driving) but look up dr. roy's cardomain. He replaced all of them and has a brighter angle eye set up, i think 21000mcd wired in a series (so you'll only have one red and white wire coming from one headlight versus two of each wire). His lights look really good. BTW, mine are connected directly to the battery via relay and terminal.

0CTMAX, they are blown. I ran them straight from the battery and nothing. The *** who sold them is saying they were fine, but that is not the case. How do I know that? The LEDS from the passanger side were completely yanked from the halo rings, their leads were touching and one of the leads was broken. He also lied about how long he's had them on his car. He said a month where they look like they have 2 years of use in them.

looks like whoever you bought them from probably stole them or just abused the lights. These lights have been out less than a year.

im doing a oem retrofit of an mdx projector with h9 bulb, which is approximately 1870 lumens... about a little more than half of a 4100k HID bulb which i think is around 3200 lumens. in perspective, an h4 bulb is either 1000 lumens or 1600 lumens, depending on wattage. Im going to be doing an HID conversion soon enough though

I was going to ask if the projectors were better than the stock headlights or not. I know they're no competition to the HIDs, but I was interested in the projectors only if they function better than the stock ones - I know they look better than the stock headlights, and I especially the angel-eye projectors, but if they're dimmer and less effective at doing their job of illuminating the road ahead, then I'll shove them off my wish list & save my pennies for the HIDs.

A lot of other guys that had them claimed that they were dimmer than stock. In your case i'd rather crack open your stock lights and do the AE mod, best $0 mod you can do on a early 5th gen. Don't get the projectors and save your money.

the projectors themselves inside the housing suk. I can see on the road but i've seen better from stock projectors. The only way of curing this is retrofitting OEM halogen projectors or doing a retrofit of HID projectors. If you do an OEM hid projector retrofit, it will surpass the 2k2 2k3 projectors. You just need time and some know how. HIDPLANET is selling a valeo kit complete with bubls, ballast, and projectors for $450. The price of theebay maxima projectors are around $250 so the total is about $700. Yes, with that money you can buy oems, but with that retrofit you will see a whole lotta sh*t.

Just replace the h3 bulb with a better bulb. Projectors are for style but dont expect the extra stuff (bulbs) in there to be top notch. They are hott tho...

@tothemax319...

Is there a thread/sticky that discusses the AE HID mod? This sounds like an interesting option, and if it is cheaper and produces better results than the eBay projectors, I'd be willing to give them a look-see.

Also, has anyone here successfully completed this AE mod? Please chime in with your words of wisdom

Thanks!
