have you tried disconnecting the main harness the rectangular looking harness in the middle of the tail lamp?

'02 T/L conversion

I just installed my '02 T/L's on my '00 SE this morning. As long as the tail lights you're putting on has the harness on it, you're ok. If you're just getting the housing, with no wiring and bulbs, then you need to purchase that from Nissan, of a junkyard. The install took only about 20 minutes. Very easy to do. And yes that sealant is a pain in **** to separate the light from the body. I used a flathead screw driver and pushed through the sealant. Gotta love the look of thosT/L's on a white Max!

yeah the sealent was tough but i managed, and they do look so good on the pearl white, but only on the light colored cars. they really look bad and out of place on the dark colored cars, i'm surprised nissan did that. i think the 01 se tails look better on the dark even if it does mean downgradeing to a older year tail light. anyway i bought the 02 front nose and am looking for a stock 02=03 grille as well, if anyone has one. thanks for all the help, pasquale

The one I purchased is listed on my website; Jerry Rome Nissan can supply it for you as well.

From my site (page 6):

You need to order the 2003 rear wiring harness to go along with the new lights (Nissan part #265515Y700). Two required.

Ok I open the box to find that it(harness) was aready there. I went the dealership and that part that the bulbs twist in to can be used from you "00 tail lights it has two philps screws and two tab holding it on. Use that part for your "00 lights it fits directly in to the "02 housing. This way is the cheapest and simplest way not to buy that harness. It only cost $24 at your local dealer
