clutch replacement
my clutch on my 2k max is totally shot. so unfortunately i called up my local nissan dealer to get an estimate on parts and labor. they said it would cost in the neighborhood of $700. i didnt know if this was a bargain or if this was highway robbery. if any of you have replaced your clutch, could you post how much it was and at what milage. im at about 65,500 right now. any input would be great

Ask them if they will put in the OEM clutch in it, or Key Value OE repleacement clutch. OEM is better quality than Key Value- which is one of those clutches that is designed for people who don't beat on the car at all. Key Value set costs like 120 bux (from DaveB) for disk, throwout bearing, aligment tool, and pressure plate, where OEM clutch that your car came with will be more like 300 dollars. Most dealers install the Key Value clutch kits cause its cheaper. If they do OEM clutch for 700 bux, then its not a bad deal.

$700 for an OEM clutch and labor doesn't sound bad at all....
I got my 4th gen clutch replaced for $300 out the door w/flywheel resurfacing....I supplied them with the ACT clutch which cost me another $400 or so....this was done at a reputable 3rd party shop.....so considering I paid $700 @ a shop, then $700 at the dealers is by all means a fair price...
