Front Strut Bar Question for 03 SE MAX.

I have a 03 Maxima SE Automatic. I was wondering if anyone has the Stillen front strut bar for this car? Cuz if you go to stillen.com it says does not fit automatic. I bought the rear sway bar and rear strut bar from stillen and installed them, just curious why they claim the front one doesnt fit for automatics.

I don't know whether it fits or not, but if you do go to the stillen website, there are 2 strut bars, the buttom one doesn't say it does not fit on automatics. I have a friend who has a stillen FTSB and it fits fine. So I'm guessing he has the one on the bottom. Look at that one instead

The FSTB rubs against the engine manifold when you put an automatic in reverse...there are members who remedied this situation by installing additional washers on top...you'll find it talked about everywhere....

I have one on my 02 GLE automatic fit with no issues. It is stillen but don't know which one on the site because I bought it from and org member. Didn't need to add any washers .

Mine's not a Stillen, but I have a front strut bar on my 03 auto SE. It does get very close to rubbing when I'm in reverse, but it never actually touches. By the way, you'll pay too much if you buy a Stillen. Normally you get what you pay for, but in the case of the fstb, it is DEFINITELY possible to spend too much. Many of us have spent no more than $30 including shipping for our front strut tower bars. Mine is from Megan Racing, but there are many others on eBay that are almost identical.

Alright...thanks guys for all your responses. I just went with a generic brand from my performance auto shop by my house and installed it today for the front upper with a 35 pound torque. I have rear stillen strut bar and rear stillen sway bar as well those werent torqued though my mechanic just did it. It handles so sweet when all of them are on. Again thanks for everything.
