E-Brake locking up! How-to Adjust?

Sup fellas..

Since the cold weather, problem is when I leave the emergency brake on for a few hrs or overnight and after I release the handle down it seems to still lock up the rear wheels. After about 5 min of driving, it appears to fully release it. What do you think the problem and solution is? My guess is the parking brake just needs adjustment. If so, how to please.. thanks!

DOnt use Ebrake in the winter....

Unless you are on a huge hill, you don't need it. Just put in in park or for a manual, reverse or 1st. and you are fine. If you are on the street turn your wheels so the car if rolled would gently rest up against the curb.

If you live where they put down salt when it snows, your cables are probably rusted and are hanging up. WHen the cables rust severely, they swell up and cause you problems in applying and reeasing the parking brakes.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but does anyone know how to adjust the parking brake? In addition to the locking, the parking brake doesn't seem to hold the rear wheels very well when I tested it. Thanks in advance!

I've never had e-brake freeze up on me. I've used it everyday for 4 years. I've heard that if you don't use it often, they will freeze up.

At firsth they thought, Caliper, so the changed that, but it was the cable. NO problems since.
