Windshield washer malfunction

I've got an 01 AE with 22,000 miles. Windshield washer is not working. I changed the fuse and that did not work. Any suggestions on pinpointing the problem?? And yes, fluid is full. Thanks

Can you hear the motor/pump running when you pull the lever to get washer fluid? If not, I'd gues the motor is dead.

Is the motor fairly loud. I had my wife pull the lever, and I put my ear down by the resorvoir and wheelwell. I did not hear anything. If it is the motor is it an easy swap?

You should be able to hear it when your inside the car. Ever pull the lever with no washer fluid? You hear the motor, just nothing comes out and cleans your window. I'd assume a swap would be simple, but never done it on my Max.

i would check the line for any kinks as well as putting a pin needle in the the sprayer. i thought mine froze last winter but somehow the line was kinked and that solved everything. i am not sure what is involved in replacing the motor if in fact it is shot but i can take a look at my esm tonight and post up if it looks reasonable.

It's just a matter of wiggling it out it's held on with that rubber grommet the hardest part should be undoing the inner wheelhouse (black plastic) to get to it.Good luck If it gets tough try to pry it out with a flathead screwdriver

You should be OK, that's what it takes. I will check ESM and let you know. have you downloaded the ESM? You should.
