here's what I did:
plugged the two neon tube wires into the power box. then I cut the 12 volt cigarette adapter off.
They said one wire with a fise connected to a switch, and the other was a ground. The only fuse on that wire was the one in the cigarette plug, so I used the power wire with fuse from my valentine one hardwire wireing harness.

After doing the install, I flipped the switch and i got nothing. The only logical explanations are that the 12 volt wire I tapped is not actually a 12 volt wire (the cigarette lighter has 2 wire going to the plug. I tapped the yellow or orange one, I forget which but there are only two, and second is black) or, the calentine one wire is not able to be used.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

OK, I have wired tons of stuff through the cigarette lighter, but your explanation is kind of confusing. First of all, the wire to the lighter is in fact 12V. Can you rephrase your explanation? I'd like to help you.

Also, this kit sounds interesting, do you have a link to it or a picture I can see? I have no idea what it is, only from the title.
