real quik question on bulbs

I have a 2000 max.. and the bulb for the headlight is 9003. is the H4 bulb the same thing as the 9003? TRying to purchase some GTX's, are these HID's?Everyone says that they look "close to real hid's" but will this fit on my 00 max? If they are whats a close alternative?. let me know. Thanks

http://www.win.net/audtatious/audio/...bulbchart.html Hope this helps you out. According to the chart 9003 is the same as h4. The GTX's are not real HID bulbs but they are pretty darn close in color, but not in light output. I have some in my fog lights and they match the HID's well. Also check here for really good prices on PIAA bulbs http://www.optauto.com/

The PIAA Super Plasma GTX's are H3 bulbs which are for fog lights. They match the 02+ HID's the best.

They also make Super Plasma's as h4 bulbs.

i have the super plasma-GTX in my headlights. i got them last week and no problems. they won't be as bright as real HID but are purplish in color. if you keep the wattage around 55/65W you won't melt your harnesses.
