On the way home today...doing about 75 mph on two lane highway it has few lights but a lot of open stretches. I was being followed by a (new) c-class mercedes (found out it was a C320). Guys tailgating me so I move to the right lane. He accelerates and keeps pace with me...come to a light (its red). He starts revvving (I think he was trying to show off to his girlfriend)...so I decide it's time to make him look bad. Light turns green and we're of...get a perfect start no wheel spin and I get a 1/4 car lead on him. Continue pulling, redlining shifting all the way. At about 110 still in 4th I've got a good car length on him. Finally he tucks in behind me and I continue acclerating and shift into 5th - This goes on for three lights (he never got past me - go MAX!)until finally had to make a left turn, as I got into the turn lane he flys by and gives me a wave. Those things are fast, man if the c320 had a stick they'd be awesome.

 

Good race. Mercedes does offer that engine in the US with a 6spd manual transmission on the SLK 320...but not on the C class. Too bad, that would be a nice car.
