I have heard 22psi, but I went with whatever housecor said on his website, it was in nm, I don't remember how much, but his website is www.innerbean.com/housecor and it's under the suspension install writeup. It will tell how much to torque down the strut towers. What kind of strut bar did you get?

psi is a unit for pressure. The strut bar should be tightened to about 30-35 Nm, IIRC.

From Housecor's site:

Use the following torque specs in newton meters (N-m):
- strut to steering knuckle bolts 140-159 N-m
- strut upper mount nuts 39-54 N-m

my 00 max has a bracket where the stut bar mounts. Now do i mount it on top of the bracket, under the bracket, or take out the bracket entirely?

no, you take out the black metal bracket, as I recall.....else the bar won't fit.

For all of us non-metric guys:

1 Nm = 0.7376 lb-ft

So 35 lb-ft is equal to 47.45 Nm. Housecor's site recommends 39-54 Nm for the strut upper mount nuts, so 35 lb-ft fits within that range nicely.

Guess I should've stuck with good ol' ft. lbs. BTW - These figures are pulled straight out of the Haynes manual if you want to hit the local library/auto parts store.
