Does 2003 GLE come with craptenzas?

I have a 2003 GLE, I don’t think it comes with the craptenzas. Do I still need to replace my tires?

Thanks for any help...

Nobody NEEDS to replace his tires. You probably have the Bridgestone Potenzas or Turanzas. Either way, there are better tires out there. If you have money to spend, go ahead and get better tires now. If you would rather wait until your current tires need to be replaced, then just make sure you don't get Bridgestones. You can find better tires for less money at your local tire shop or online at a place like TireRack.

For some reason Bridgestone markets the RE92 Potenza which was stock on SE's, as a performance tire and the Turanza EL42 which came on GLE's as a luxury touring tire. They are both relatively poor on anything other than dry roads. Both of these tires are amongst the lowest rated tires you'll find in their price range. I find it hard to believe Nissan/Infinite even puts the Turanza on G35's. Go into tirerack.com and look at the hydroplane and snow traction and you'll immediately slow down and head to your nearest tire outlet. The thing that aggrevates me the most though is that there is such a limited selection of good rubber in the 225/50 or 215/55 17 size. The Falkens are squirmy and the Michelin Sport A/S's are $200 and wear out the center ridge in 10,000 miles. Little choice but two sets of rims with dedicated summer tires and Blizzaks in the winter.

My son's new Sentra came with the RE92's - they're in the garage and he's driving on a set of BFGoodrich Traction TA's that I got for peace of mind. Hope I don't get your thread shuttled to the tire/wheel forum, but these are really not very good tires for the application.
