Quick question about dealers...

Hey guys,

Okay, I got this heating steering wheel from a totalled Max with the Meridian package. All I got is the wheel, the switch, and the wiring diagram. Let me just say, the diagram makes it look FAR more complicated than I'd expected. I'm going to call a dealer or two tomorrow, but I was just wondering if you guys think a dealer will do the swap for me? It's risky, since they have to swap the airbag module and the steering wheel controls as well, but if they won't do it, I'm not even going to attempt it. Anybody have any experience with having dealers install "aftermarket" (but from the factory) options?

I know they'll probably charge an arm and a leg.

are you still under warranty? If yes, probably don't do it yet...or they will always blame all electical problems on this.
Chances are everything is already pre-wired!.....well at least you can hope for this. Depending on the dealer, they will do it. Removing airbags is not a big deal, they got detailed instructions for that.
