Autolamp timing...Help please!

Sup all...

I came across a thread a while ago, and just searched through all pages and couldn't find it...It was about changing how long/short your lights stayed on after shutting off your car...

I am looking to change mine to have the lights cut off when I cut the car off (with the auto setting)...

Any help would be appreciated...

If I remember right, you cant change it on the 00-03 modes, only on the 04 and greater which have a setting in menu on that screen they have.

BTW, an easy way to remedy this is to just click the thing from auto to off and back to auto when you shut the car off.

$30 for 30 minutes??? Are you talking about labor? As far as I know, the timing cannot be changed.

It can be changed.. We actually changed mine.. The techs can go into consult and adjust this setting! It takes all of 3 minutes to do.. Dealer would probably charge 1/2 hour though..

Well that shows how much I know Do you know if they can change it to go off as soon as you turn the car off instead of that delay?

or you can save the hassle and headache (not many techs know how to use consult well, if at all) and just click the switch back and forth when u shut the car off.

I think you can.. Or if not, close to it, like 3 seconds or so.. Just check with one of the dealerships in your area they should be able to help you.. You can do all kinds of things with consult..

Seriously... I do that when I want the lights off immediately... I don't see why this is such a complicated matter...

I don't think I am willing to pay for 30 minutes when it will take 2...It's not that serious, I just wanted to know if and how it was possible...I just upgraded from a 3rd gen, so Im use to flipping the switch anyway...

But it would be nice not to worry about it, and have the lights shut off when the car is turned off...Oh well...

Thanks n e ways
