2K2 HID's
The other night on my way home from the mall (Christmas shopping) I spotted a TL with some unusually bright headlights, but not only were they bright but Blue I mean a rich blue. Since this was a on a small residential street I thought I might ask him why his headlights looked that way. I found out that they were not stock units but rather 6000k's he told me that he ordered them online from www.autolamps-online.com (well not exactly he just said autolamps.com) I have been thinking about changing my 2000 halogens to 2002's and after seeing the 6000k bulbs I a pressed to have em. As a matter of fact it's not really that they are all that much brighter but that they always look blue(really blue) from every angle and don’t fade to white I mean why don't all HID's look this way? I wondering if anyone with a 2K2 has changed their bulbs? And if so what kind of bulbs does the Max’s take D2S or D2R?

Thanks for the info. Have you witnessed the 6000k first hand yourself? The difference is not just something to wince at. I mean to me it was like night and day the contrast if immediately noticeable, not something you have to look for to notice

No problem...
I haven't seen a set in person, but I have seen pics. They do look really good and are quite a bit different from the run-of-the-mill HIDs

Now if we change the HID bulbs and something breaks, we would be liable for the repair. As I heard the maintenance cost is dramatic. The bulbs are supposed to last a long time, but the kit costs a bundle...
