**UPDATE** Pics of car at the body shop after the accident

As per my last thread about if I should fix the damage myself, or if I should have it done, I decided to take it to metro collision center. They are doing great work on my car, and I stopped by unannounced to see the progress, and to see what type of environment my car is in while being fixed. Everything looks great so far, the people working on my car were very nice, and they are going above and beyond what they had to do. An example of this is when I installed my stereo, the wires were in a bad spot running to my two front doors, so the re-wiring it for me so the door does not damage the wire. That’s awesome in my book.

They let me come in and take off my front lip, (actually they did it for me) and they are painting my new front lip for free. Also, they are giving me a brand new windshield, even though they didn't have to. (It was broken a long time ago.) Here are some pics of the car as it sits right now...

new door on the left, old door on the right. ^^^

they have had my car for about 3 weeks now, but they gave me a great rental car... a 2005 dodge mangnum. it is RWD, so it is a blast to drive. so thats all, just figured i would keep you all updated on the status of my car.

The lip i had on the car was a reto-fitted 00-01 stillen classic lip. i have been meaning to install the correct lip for my car (02) but didn't feel like getting it painted. so this was the perfect time do it. so i just got a 02-03 stillen classic lip.

Silver is a tough color to match. Let us know how they make out on matching the paint.

I was hit on the door, and 1/4 pannel. not much work to be done, but my car looked awful. they are estimating 5k+ to fix... i'll see when they are done. hopefully this week.

well, I personaly did not do it, Emax02 did it, and i bought the lip from him. it seems like all he had to do was dremel out a "notch" in the lip, and thats all.

interesting.. the 2002 bumper is slightly wider and lower than the 2000-2001 maximas. they had to extend the lip when they prototyped the maxxtunning lip on my car.. do you by any chance have pix of the lip emax made? because if it's just that simple, i think i'de consider doing that too.
i hope everything goes smoothly, and as a person has already mentioned, silver cars are hard to match, i'm sure they'll do some blending.

Why isn't your leather seats covered with a cloth or plastic or something. It seems like it's covered with dust and stuff.

I don't really care to be honnest... I am not THAT picky with my car, it is only dust, it can be wiped off/cleaned. I use leather protector/cond on a weekly basis, so no worries.

No problem man...

it fits prettt well... but it is not "molded" to the front bumper like the correct lip looks like. there are some gaps/ect. but not bad none the less. here are some pics:

it is alittle dusty from being in the body shop, but you get the idea.
