Feeler: Suede and fiberglass interior

I am considering doing a MAJOR change to the interior of my car, basically converting all of the OEM interior panels to a mix of suede and fiberglass. Opinions? Thoughts?

ive considered suede before, especially if you have black leather. changine some of the door inserts, and the center of the seats to suede would be very hot. i dont like FG, but thats just my opinion.

suede does look real nice, but it's expensive. fiberglass and suede makes a good combo. (if done tastefully)

It's a very nice setup if you wanna make your car into a show car. Definetly yes.

Everyday driving = no.

Because think about it. You will be driving your car everyday, using the interior everyday. You might have people in the car too, perhaps on a friday night when all of you and your friends go out or what not. It might rain outside some days, and you can get the interior wet or even accidents happens (spillage, scuffs, stains). But accidents happens in our max's RARELY, cuz i know everyone is **** about their interior just like me. But everyday wear and tear will take place you know. You will spend so much money in a interior and god forbid something happens, specially because of other poeple (your girlfriend/wife), you'll hate it.
Now if you have a beater, and the max is your showcar / weekend car. That's a different story, then you can have golden interior, it'll always be mint, cuz u'll barely use the car.

Me too, I think that takes us up to six heads!

Yeah, Chun - I am gonna get it started...I'm too excited to simply kick this idea around without doing something. I have orderered the fiberglass mat and will be starting with a simple project to see how well this can go. I will start with the A-Pillars...let's see how far I can take this!!!

I voted no, but if you make it tasteful and not "Gucci-it-out". It may be workthwhile.

Yeah, that $hit it hideous. Like Ice said, I would be going more for a look similar to Brunoma's...and I would be mixing the fiberglass/suede for a more Lexus IS300 look. I want to make this look as clean as possible, so I won't be doing anything to "bling-bling" the Max. Any fiberglass parts will be painted to a glossy oyster as to match the roof liner so everything is simple and two-tone.

If you can afford it, and you want it, I say go for it. Why not? Just make sure it's high quality materials and workmanship involved...
