2003 Keyless Entry

Hi all-

I just traded my 2000 GXE and bought a 2003 SE. . . love the car, but have a problem. The car did not come with any keyless entry remotes, so I picked one up on eBay. I attempted to program it last night, did the key in the ignition thing, hazards flashed, turned the key to the ACC position and pressed the lock button once on the remote. Nothing. Changed the battery in the remote and still would not work. I started thinking and proceeded to find the fuse for the keyless entry. When I popped the cover, what did I find? Nothing! There was no keyless entry relay/fuse, just an open space. I looked up the specs on the 2003 and it appears that keyless entry was standard on all the models. . . anyone have any insight? The car does have the Nissan security system and does not appear to have any other systems installed. Did some SE's not come with keyless entry? If this is the case, does anyone know if a stock system could be added? (something Dave B might carry?)

It sounds like someone removed it!!! But I don't believe they could get much money for it. I could be wrong though.

You can order a new relay system from Nissan Co. to install the car because I've never heard models not coming with keyless remotes.

Well it was preowned, so I just assumed whoever had it before me just did not turn in the remotes.

If the dealer cannot access those files for you, you will have to order the stock system in or get it off e-bay ( if you can find one)
