sorry, not this time.....I don't have a how-to or wiring pics and don't plan on posting any (for the obvious reasons)....it's pretty easy...just get a local maxima org'er with some electrical knowledge to help you out...

come on what?....I don't have "specs" or a "how-to".....I used the Nissan wiring diagram (with help from another local org'er) and determined how to splice the OEM harness into the new HID harness.

What you will need:
- 2k2-3 wiring harness from Nissan (call DAVE B)
- lower light clips (call DAVE B)
- butt connectors
-electrical tape
- splicing tool

then just do some matching up of wires.

Seriously, I don't remember which wires went to which (they are ALL plain yellow now, so I can't tell by looking)....there's got to be someone in your area who knows how to do this or has some wiring knowledge and can EASILY figure it out....

Nothing against you or anyone else, I simply do not (and will not) have a writeup for this...it's too common sense. You guys know I put write-ups to alot of things on here for others to use...but this is not one of those things ....sorry!

If you can wait a while Lontar, I'm considering getting them, and I've got a buddy that knows electronics could probably figure it out. Gotta see how big my next two paychecks are before I drop $600 though.

Cool, the guy I know actually goes to UCF, but I'd like to drive over and get them both done at once if he can help us. Like I said, let me see how much $$$ I got coming in and I'm seriously considering buying the d#@* HID's (lucky S.O.B. 5.5'ers). If I don't PM you in the next 3 weeks, PM me about it.

it's OEM......comes IN the Nissan box.....not plug and play, you have to do some wiring, but pretty basic.

Just for the record....though....Lontar got his HIDs from the same place I did...Triple8Sol, who is a reputable dealer. So if one of you locals wants to help him out, go for it I simply don't have a write-up so can't help much.....

let's not take the conversation down this road.......

the maxima HIDs will not fit your I30 anyhow. Suggest you look into aftermarket HID kits, there are several. contact umnitza

didnt mean to get you all flapped up there. i dont know much about conversion kits. i was thinking about a set from an i30 that already has hid's. that way i could just take mine out and put the new ones in there. do you see any problem with that?

i dont see why not. a write up would help people like me who want to replace our headlights with hid's. if one were to think about it, a write up of anything could be misused by the wrong person.

I was reading some file on HID Forums and it takes only 5 minutes to take those babies out. There are so many complaints about HID thefts that I understand why? Remember the thief wants the ballast not the housing... and he will pulled them out w/o caring about the housing..... so be aware that it is happening and will continue, just be careful where you park your car....... I will as soon as I add the ones I bought to my car.......

But no one takes care while stealing the HIDs so a wiring diagram would be no use to them. That's just my 2¢.

i guess i really dont know much about hid's at all. i just wanted to get a set of hid's from an i30t, and replace them with the stock ones i already have. when i had my millenia, it took me quite some time to remove the headlights, and i dont see how a theif could do it quickly. are the theives just breaking open the head light assembly and taking out the bulbs?

I have just bought a pair of OEM lights from a 2003 from another ORGer, Ninetein, although the sale wasn't on this forum.
I installed them last week, and everything is good except the DTRLs. One HID lights up and other one doesn't, this is because the high beams on a 2001 are wired in series so that the high beam runs at half voltage during the day (won't go into too much detail here), everything else is ok both HIDs work ok, both high beams are ok, it's just this Daytime stuff that's giving me a headache.
Any ideas? I would prefer not to disable the DTRL.
