no power

Hey guys i am new so dont reem me to bad. i have a 2000 and a frined has a 2000 mine has more miles than his. I have more mods and he is still faster with chrome wheels. I have drove his car , he has dorve mine. His is definitely faster. I was faster before he had his maf replaced and a fuel system cleaning. I have a greddy cat back, cai, bnm shifter, and jet v force. My car seems to bog then about 4000 rpm it just goes. I am running amsoil synthetic. I am going to replace my clutch tomorrow. I think this will help , my pedal is so soft while his feels much harder. i am also going to get my comp remaped and the fuel system cleaned. Any ideas what else it could be?

It is true it could be a lot of things... try cleaning your TB, Sea Foam, replace MAF etc.. then..try again....

1. take out that Jet chip.....those things hurt performance more than they help.....
2. Get a new MAF....that is the likely source of the "bog"

3. then...SEAFOAM it!

get rid of that JET garbage and you should be good to go. Our engines are NOT helped by any of the available chips like a Honduh woul dbe....

don't replace the clutch unless you know for sure that your clutch is bad. This is how you test for a bad clutch. Go about 40-45mph on 5th gear and floor your gas pedal. If your RPM rises a lot faster than your speedometer, your clutch is slipping.

If your buddy's clutch is OEM and if it's stiff, his clutch might be going bad

I was told if you change mafs you have to reprgram the ecm for that map. That is what nissan told me. I also seafoamed it and it helped out and i cleaned the map but still has a bog. They told me it was because of my intake system. That the filter is to far away from the maf. I am also going to do a tune up thiss week i will keep you guys posted.
