o2 sensors, maf sensor help???

Can either of these cause the car to stall while coming to a stop sign or red light. I am also getting a bad egg smell and also feels like loss of power. What is the cost of these parts also??

Thank you all!!!!!!

no problem. once you get the maf the car should be fine. the problem is the maf is feeding the the wrong air values so the 02 is trying to run off that with the fuel. your probably running rich and thats why it smells lkie eggs.maf is real easy to do. takes maybe 1o miutes. buy the safety torx ahead of time though.

Would the MAF also cause the car to drop RPM's too low *on occasion*?

Depending on my mood I'll drop the car in neutral and coast for a bit. The RPM's naturally fall, but I've noticed that as the weather is starting to warm up, they drop to 400 at times, and then the car dies.

This is very rare, but it's not fun.

Yes, the low idling is due to a bad MAF. An easy way to find out is by putting the car in parking, then step on ur gas and let go of the gas. Watch the RPM come down and see if it stops at around 700. If it goes below 700 and dips to like 400 or something, then your MAF is bad. Goodluck.

Everyone is real quick to blame to MAF around here. Not saying it isnt, but I had similar problems which then turned into a high, bucking idle. It turned out to be the Idle Air Control Valve.

Long story short, I replaced my MAF, but it didn't help. I've got my old one if ya' want it. I'll sell it cheap... it's got 96k miles on it, assuming it's origonal, though.

Keep us updated on symptoms, too. Been throwing any SES codes?

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you all. Thanks for the input.

I've not been getting any SES Codes. The car will idle just fine, usually. But at times I see the RPM's drop too far... 7 6 5 4 300, the engine may shudder a moment then pick up again, or just die (not too often thankfully).

I'm not sure if that's Idle Control or MAF. But hey, maybe I should talk to Zourney about his MAF as an inexpensive way to test mine out (though it may take a week or two to get results as it does not happen *too* often).
