Optima Battery???

I was wondering if anyone has any instruction on how to "properly" install an optima batter with the big clunky device that is on the positive terminal. I've kind-of rigged it for the past few months so that it sits on it sideways, but I know there has to be someway to do this right.. it is a red-top optima.

Stinger digital terminals on top for audio connection
interstate side terminal posts on the left
do not confuse with GM SIDE TERMINAL POST (lower right) as that is not what you want.

if you have a red top 35 series it should be no problem at all - if anything you need to put that red tray that comes with the battery underneath it so the cables reach the posts properly! should be a direct fit with that huge plastic cover we have on our positive cables , if you have the yellow top which requires some messing around with the cables to reach their posts, then you may want to look at doing an install like Polo above has shown! good luck peace

which red top do you have? both the red and yellow have 35 series which are a direct fit. you just use the tray it comes with under the battery to bring it to the proper height. if you don't have a 35 then you have to use a custom setup like mentioned above. good luck.
