Exhaust Gaskets

This is probably a dumb question but... just bought the gaskets for my ypipe on my 01. Went to Nissan to get them, now I am probably showing my ignorance, but I thought that exhaust gaskets werent metal rings. I bought 1 large ring, 2 small rings, and one large metal gasket for where the collector hooks to the pipe. Does this sound right to you guys that have installed your ypipes? They are all the right diameter, or atleast they appear that way when I set them on top of the pipe. I dont doubt the parts guy I got them from, just kinda wondering how hard it will be to get these rings lined up correctly. I would like to do this right the first time, rather then continue to trying to fix exhaust leaks. Ideas, facts, hand on knowledge welcome.

Sounds about right... for my install I just reused the 2 crush gaskets (2 small rings: one for the primary that goes to the exhaust manifold and the other for the secondary) and bought a new gasket (for between the cat and the y).... the only one I had trouble lining up was the crush gasket on the secondary.... I actually think its still slightly off but I'm taking the pipe off this week to readjust it....
