Dash Clock Removal

I have an idea that the clock just pops out cause it's only held down by clips. Can someone confirm this before I try and yank it out. Need to slap some padding in there. The rattle there is driving me up the wall..

thanks

Be careful when you do it! The matel clip may drap (I lost one)and you won't be able to get it back without completely remove the desh.

Not too sure what it is but it sounds like either hard plastic snapping each other or lose wiring slapping against plastic. I will update this once I get a chance to take a look at it. probably tomorrow night after work.

That wire slapping on the underside of the dash sounds exactly like what I have on my '03 SE. I've brought it into the dealer three times under warrantee about it and they can't track it down. On one try they said a clip on the clock mount was broken and they ordered a new one. But when I picked up the car and looked at the work order that said they replaced the radio surround.

It's not a real bad noise and seems to come and go but with the rest of the car bank-vault solid it sticks out and is very annoying.

If you track it down, please post.

Welcome to the club. I also lost one. I tried to use some magnet to get it but no luck. I think the only way is to remove the whole desh.

Can you vacuum it up? Stick in the hose from a ShopVac, suck it up, and dig it out from the recepticle?

Not sure if you can vacuum it up but if you can 1st place a panty hose over the vacuum nosle so that way it will stay trapped there and there will be no need to dig for it.
