Any suggestions for automatics for longetivity other than VB mod and fresh fluids??

 

a tranny cooler will extend the life of the trans. but other than that, i dont treat my trans any better or worse than my other cars. the accord i had prior to this had a notoriously bad trans, and honda was recalling certain model years any everything, but i never used a cooler and only changed the fluid twice, and it lasted to 117k when i sold it, just as a reference point.

but those 3 things, maybe not even the valve body, should be the best thing for it.

btw, im close to hopatcong, in budd lake, what color/year max do you have?

 

The VB mod will theoretically increase the life of your tranny, but it will also make your Maxima harder to live with. The shifts will be noticably quicker and harder. It all depends on how much you like performance and how much you like comfort.

 

a tranny cooler will keep the tranny oil cooler but nothing major woth that.... just do a regular maintenance on tranny fluid and everything will be fine.....
