INJEN = Pinging Sound/Slight Hesitation?

Alright here it is. Had my Injen for a year now, under acceleration betweeb 1000-3000RPMs, I here this raspy pinging sound. Originally thought it was my exhaust. Under WOT the raspy pinging is gone and the roar begins. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how did you get rid of it. I thinking of goi9ng FRANKENCAR anyway. I really could use some help with this issue. It's a hard sound to describe but I bet some of you might have experienced. Wainting for some help. Thanks!

If it sounds like something is rattling, I heard that it's the Precats. I'm never concerned about it. Doesn't bother me.

Try changing the plugs. You're getting bad spark. I just went through the same thing.

My injen has a certain throttle position where it resonates through the intake pipe. Its not a ping, its more of a hiss or a raspy hum. Im not sure if this is what youre talking about.

Exactly what I'm talking abouot. Maybe ping isn't the right word. It's kind of raspy noise inside the thin aluminum wall...so is it normal? Never had that noise with the JWT set-up.

I have the same problem with my car. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was because of the gas I used which is a crappy excuse. I use the premium gas and I still hear that rattling sound. If your riding with the windows down and the radio off you will realize its really loud. Others I have spoken with on this forum have had the same problem.

Yeah it's a certain throttle position that creates a resonating frequency in the metal intake pipe. It's normal. Also, it only does it under load (ie, not in neutral).
