It happened again damn it!!!!!
Where do you live to get so many cracks in your windshield?
Get behind a rock semi truck and get the license plate
and call the company to reimburse you for the windshield.
Write down what location you were at and the time.
I did it for my other car and the rock company sent me
a reimbursment check for the amount of the windshield....
Good Luck..............

That sucks. My Talon used to get chips in the window all the time. Go out and find one of these trucks... Then video tape the crap coming off of it and send a copy to the company.
Any windsheild will crack from rocks hitting it at 60 mph. Maybe your to close (not intended as a flame) and should back off a little of switch lanes. When ever I get around trucks or cars on roads with rocks on the shoulder, I switch lanes, back off, etc.. to avoid being directly behind them or in striking distance.
If you file the claim with your ins. you could be in for a massive rate increase so be carefull on that one.

I found that duct taping card board to the windows keeps the rocks from chipping the glass. Give it a try...

I think that I will just wait it out and get more chips and play connect the diots or form constallations. I can make the letter W and a star with the chips and cracks that I have now. Looking foward to making new shapes!

I replaced two windshields in my wife's GXE in a period of two months. So far I haven't had to replace mine.
Windshield cracks are DEFINITELY covered by your insurance. The only thing you'll have to pay is your Comprehensive deductible. I keep our deductibles at $100.00 for this very reason.

My windsheild seems heavily pitted (winter road salt/gravel). No rock cracks. The windsheild does seem more heavily pitteded for one winter than my 5 years in a 5 year old 626. It may be that I went from a perfect windsheild to what I have now.
Rocks and cracks are another story. It's purely a case of luck. I have a friend that has replaced his Civic's 3 times this year! For the past 3 weeks he has been complaining about a monster crack, he finaly gets it replaced, the NEXT DAY he gets another. Too funny but I can laugh at him.
The big problem here is that after one claim per year or two, regardless of deductible, your rates start going up. They get you now or they get you later.

I think Nissan Glass is great. When I was following my dad (he was in his Acura TL and I was in my Max) We were driving on Rt.53 and I saw a big rock come over my dads car and of course it hit my windshield, it made a loud "thump" sound on my poor car but no crack. When we got home my dad told me that a big rock hit the glass and cracked the windshield.

But tell your insurance....it may be covered.
Sure beats those losers with "limo" tint!
