Pictures Axis Milanos/Teins (56K Hell)

I finally completed suspension/brakes/wheel install.
Axis Milanos 19x8.5
Teins/Illuminas
It took me like a year to get everything together. Everything was just sitting in my room and i finally got everything on. The offset is alittle weird but i think it looks good.

teh hotness.
Any rubbing ? It looks like a hard bump might rub the tires on the fender a bit.

Axis wheels are sweeping the org. . .

Rims look good! I like them. I plan on getting some Axis Spiders if all goes well with getting a 5th gen maxima later this year.

nice...so that was you that was coming up to see delvin....I rolled before you got there...he was doing my new rims earlier in the day...

rims look good, nothing wrong with the offset...I'm running 18x8 with a 30mm offset now which (IMO) is perfect for the 5th gen....

see you round the Burke way....

btw... you should post some pics that show how flush they are, like this, so people can better visualize the offset:

I really like the offset with those g35 wheels. I will post pictures of the flush. This is the only thing that discourages me from keeping the wheels. It may stick out just a tad to much for my liking. Ive been thinking about it all day. Im in a bind. The more i think about it the more i think im gonna go another route. For the money i could do alot more with the car. Im thinking about going with 18's or 19's with a better better offset. The offset isnt what bothers me that much its more the rubbing. There is minor rubbing with my current setup because of the teins. I dont want to settle for an alternative suspension setup cause i like it the way it is. But i think something needs to be changed. Any suggestions or opinions greatly appreciated. I've been deliberating all day about it.

I assume you have a 35 offset with those rims, right?

with a 35mm offset on a 8.5" wide rim, you are "pushing it out" roughly 3 centimeters from the OEM 17x7's....

if you were to get the same rim in 45mm offset (apparently, it's available), you would only be pushing it out about 2 centimeters...1 cm doesn't sound like much, but it really is!

post the offset pics in my new thread about 5th gen offsets! Hook a burke brother up!

can you post a link to that thread, I didn't see it right away. By the way there was a post in the wheels tire section (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=379325) asking if we could get a chart together that looks like: http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=27. Can we get something together like this. If someone were to give me the measurements I could even make the chart.

19x8.5 on a 35mm offset would mean you have room to spare. Especially in the rear. You could probably do up to like 25 offset and still not be sticking out...

I really loved those rims after seeing them on 350Z's and IS300's. For some reason it's not working for me on the Max. What size tires did you get?

245/40/19 There were some minor rubbing issues. I took them off today and will mostly likely sell them. The look is right but the size isnt.

I think that's why. I hate the way 40 profile looks. You'd be more than fine with 235/35/19 tires.

sorry to bump this old thread guys. im thinking, once again, about getting these wheels. of course, i would get a 245/35/19, not a 40 series, but he said he had a 35 offset. according to Irish, the 45 offset would stick out 1 cm less, is that correct? so if i got a 45 offset, the rims would be closer to being flush with the car then they are in these pics, right?

so the right offset would be 45, not 35? i cant remember if those are the 2 sizes these wheels come in.

oh, ok. i have to find the site that listed the offsets again. i coulda sworn it was 35 and 45, but i cant find that now. i know WildmanAL has a 35 offset on his Hiros, same size as yours, and they line up fine. maybe it was 25 and 35 for the milanos? now i gotta research!

I later found out that my offset was +15 so i can only imagine how sick it would've been with say a 35 or higher.

Hey Ice, here's an idea. If your offset is 15mm, then why don't you take you two front wheels dismount them and bring just the 2 rims to a local quality machine shop and have them machine another 15mm off the back mounting face of the wheel? This would give you a 30mm offset total. This can only be done if there is enough material on the mounting face. My father did this to his ERA cobra wheels, to tuck a 315/50-15 under the wheel well. He was able to machine 19mm or 3/4" off the mating surface. You should ask the machinist if he thinks there is enough material there or ask his opinion on how much you could safely remove, maybe 5 or 10mm is all you will need?

I already sold wheels about a month ago but i might still pick up a set sometime in the right offset. Thanks for the suggestion although im not sure if there wouldve been enough material on the mounting face for this to work but if i still had them then i guess it wouldve been a shot.

Hell yeah mine are 35mm and they like 1000x's better than my old rims whick were 46mm. I would really update my pics on my car domain page with some better ones......... I'm rockin gold 300zx calipers w/ cross drilled and slotted IRotors in the front and rear. I just haven't put on the org yet.
