Please help me out. Today, I was in my parking lot making a k-turn. When I turned the steering wheel as far to the left, there was this horrible rubbing, clanging and clunking sound. I tried again and there it was. However, when I turn all the way to the right, this doesn't happen.

Any prognosis? I thought about CV joint and boots but sounds too "mechanical".

 

Sounds like a CV joint to me...BTW, what's a "k-turn"...?

i'd have to guess and say it's a three point turn but that doesn't sound right. and yeah it's probably a cv join. it shouldnt be too much to fix.

 

a k-turn is a 3 point turn...it's a NJ term.

Haha, yeah CV joint. And a K-turn is used for us Maximas cuz' our turning radius suuuuucks. It's impossible for a Max to do a U-turn. :P
