Hey guys, I'm actually working on one of my project, I'm trying to remove all the part on the rear caliper set, but I need a special tool and I dont have a clue how it is call, to make a short story I need to remove a C lock, behind the piston on the maxima rear caliper, once you remove the piston from the caliper there is a stud in the cavity and the stud is retain by a C lock, and to be remove you need some sort of long nose that will close the C-lock and free's it from where it is. I'm on the Snap-on tools website but I just cant find the damn tools, some call it a circlip does anyon has a clue of what I'm talking about.

You should be able to slide a circlip out with a needle nose plier or even a pick like tool. They do make tools specially for C clip removal, I'm sure "Snap-Off Tools" carries them but they might not be on their web site. The moble sales guy that comes to our shop with the Snap-On truck has EVERYTHING.....

 

You need a set of "snap ring plyers". You should be able to find one at any real auto parts store. Just make sure you know whether it is an "inside" or "outside" ring. Outside rings need to be made bigger to be removed and inside rings need to made smaller to be removed.

 

The c ring is inside, so I need a longer nose plyer thanks for helping.
