The LEDs don't necessarly have to be in a circle (making the brake and blinker). They can be any shape....I'd say it would look better if the LEDs for the brakes were in a rectangle and the blinker in a smaller rectangle below the brakes.

Agreed. I think that the roundness of our tails would not match well with anything that's square inside -- brake and signal lights included.

ok so why doesnt anyone try the stillens and have them painted to the way they would lok right. With black spray around the outside like the 2k and red tint around the LED turn and brake lights i think it would look fine

that is my take any one have any thougths on that.

I don't know who would want to spend that kind of money on lights only to modify them right off the bat. I would think that people want the right design from the start.

this would be the best for our taillights. I know it is small but to make a bigger one it would cost 300. this is like the new range rover signals.

well the stillen website says that those tailights can come with paintable covers, carbon fiber or chrome.. so i guess the carbon fiber ones should look ince.. hopefully they have a red lense that goes over the led parts or else it'll look too ricey.

Don't like them. I would like to see how they would look on the MAX. That could make a difference.

i think it would look great if the background was completely red, then have a big outer circle of red leds and a smaller inner circle of yellow or white leds on the inside which would be the turn signals. i dont like the idea of cramming as much led's as possible into the housing.

Actually it can be done but it takes a lot of time to do it and you have to have patience and use a heat gun.

i wouldn’t really recommend using a heat gun it can be done this way bit it is very difficult... if you really want to open them i would recommend cutting them with a dremel much easier this way the only difficult part is sealing them back up so that you wont have condensation... btw i am trying to work on an led tail project if anyone has any experience with wiring these and would like to give me some input it would be greatly appreciated.
