LED Tail Lights

Just curious to see how many people on here would want LED tails for their 5th gen? I'm trying to convince Eurostar to make them, so maybe if they see a big response from us it will motivate them.

that would be cool if they made them look like the stock G35 lights, but if it looks anywhere near what the POS stillen ones look like, then hell no...

I'm sure they would cost a bundle. IMHO LEDs look fine as long as all of them are lit. If one or more stops working, it looks funky.

I would buy them if they sold versions that looked stock. Perhaps if they sold the 00-01 style black tails with an all red brake and turn signal lense, as opposed to the half white circle. And yes the Stillen's look horrible, I wonder if they even sell, I haven't seen anyone using them, and everyone pretty much agrees on the ugliness.

yeah the G35c ones are nice. i like how they have two circles that light up when you hit the brakes. but the stillen ones look

the poll, however, is not refering to the stillen ones but just LED tail lights in general in which case i'm with everyone else on this. if they look good and aren't too pricey i'd be interested.

yeah you're right. it's too much silver. plus the area around the leds should be all red on top and orange on the bottom. does stillen have shots of what those fugly things look like from the side?

i think they should just be all red like the G35's tails...the orange makes it look too busy IMO

yeah that works too. i forgot that turn signals can be red and don't need to be orange. i think it would look sweet if the rest of it looked like the OEM tail lights too.

IMO the reason they look good on G35's is because the taillight is shaped in a way that makes the LED's look good. 5th gen Maxima's do not have taillights that are that shape so they will not look good...ever. Just my 2 cents. They do however look good on 4th gens.

very true...thats why i would be shocked to see someone make LED tails for the 5th gen that actually look good....very doubtful, but anything could happen

Well the stillen lights require you to put the lenses of your old tail lights on it right? At least thats how it looks to me, then it would look like a normal tail light that just flashes with LED bulbs. Anyone know how much the stillen lights cost??

You have to call for pricing. I doubt if you use the lens from the old lights because they are too hard to get off.

The Deville tails look nice because they have a bunch of LEDs in them. They also blend well with the lines of the car.

those are pretty cool too rich but i like them when they're spaced out more like they are on the G35c. on the cadilac, if we're talking about the same one, they're all bunched up together and look like a solid light from far away.

that's exactly what i'm talking about. it's just my opinion, but i'd rather go with the solid look as opposed to the spaced out look because having the spaced look like the G35 will only make it look like a bite off. the solid look would give the max a more of a unique look. again, just my .02 cents

I'm planning to call the company today to inquire on pricing and minimum quantity required for production of these lights. Do you guys prefer to have LED's on 1. both the break and signal, or 2. on just one half? If you prefer LED's on one half, which half?

Update for those interested on these LED tails. I just got off the phone with a representitive from CARFILO, East Coast group for distributing their products, and this is what he told me... LED tails are already in production for 00-03 Maximas. They will not look like LED tails from Stillen. These tails will come in Chrome, Black or Gunmetal Gray housings (I wasn't sure if he meant the inner part or the outer rim of the housing, therefore this is just speculation). No information on pricing yet or a release date yet. I'm pretty sure he knows more information then what I was provided with, however, I'm satisified just knowing the fact that we'll have these... hopefully sooner than later though

Edit: I forgot to mention that the LED's will be similar to the type of LED's you see on their website right now. So I guess that means somewhat large LED's that are similar to the ones found in G35 tails.

Orange light

I am very much interested in LED tail lights. But I hope that the turning signal light will be ORANGE. In Europe you can’t have red turning signal.

My guess is that they'll be made in a variation of red and white color mixtures. I didn't see any tails on their website with orange color anywhere.

I had actually gotten an email too from one of Eurostar's distruibutors saying that hadn't heard about the lights yet but were gonna contact Eurostar and lemme know. Looks like Sizzo did one better though, can't wait for these to come out. Eurostar definitely makes classy looking LED tails...

We defenitely need another Led tail light option after Stillen brutally butchered their attempt.

Stillen's head designers must have been out back taking a whiz when their prototype LED taillights were approved for the market. Usually their stuff looks so quality, but these taillights look like lunchmeat.

I can only imagine how much of a hit they took with these taillights. My best guess now is that Maxima owners will be punished by means of price hikes on lips, valances, FSTB's, etc. because we didn't buy their taillights.
