Blue LEDs, neon, washer nozzle lights, clear corners, and stickers just ain't my thing.
agreed....from the outside, my car looks almost stock. Almost all of my mods are suspesion-related (as you can see in my sig), most of which cannot be seen at all, unless you have a sharp eye and notice the mild 1.5" drop, which most people who don't have maximas do not notice at all.....The only noticeable exterior modifications I have are:

- Thule roof rack (this has always been kind of my "signature" with a custom-painted fairing on every car I've ever had, the rack was there)

-2k2-3 HID headlights (which are Maxima headlights, no not really an appearance mod if people think I have a 2k2-3)

-G35 rims (same as Lumbee has)....Although they are not maxima rims, they are non-flashy and actually are NIssan (Infiniti) OEM rims, so not especially flashy, just low-key and nice looking IMHO....

Just because a ccar looks stock, doesn't mean it is. Body kits, wings, rims, etc are all well and nice, but they are for appearance.

Many of use here are more concerned with performance (either engine or suspension or both) and not so much with "sticking out" visually.... some people like a "sleeper" car and some people want an attention-getter....each to his own.

...and we all bought our maxes because they are pretty damn good cars STOCK, so don't feel bad if your mod list is short, you still have a nice car!

Hell yea! If there is one thing i pride myself on, it's knowing that I have the cleanest car from EVERYONE that i know. I'm hand washing it every chance i get when the weather gets nice. All my neighbors think i'm crazy!

same here people always used to tell me im gonna take the paint off the car becaused i wash it all the time any chance i get. I like to keep it clean and I want a "sleeper" car that is lightly modded just a nice interior for night-time with neons and black lights to make it flashy for me and my riders. I want to get front and rear lips tint the windows and one day rims. I put a stereo speakers amp and subs in. I did gauges chrme rings, bezel, blue lights to light yup gauges red neon pass. side i have blacklight i didnt install yet. Thats it!

<=== Maxspeed springs and stillen RSB.

I've thought about using the Stillen RSB as a rollbar for a kart...since it's worthless otherwise.

body kits are too ricey for me... as well as lighting mods.

Keep it stock looking... makes people (thieves, stupid street racers) do weird things. Plus, if you race it (drag or autoX) and do well... people will be amazed.

i agree, dont be in a hurry, take your time and save money, because remember if u take the cheap way your more likely to come back and have to repeat the process to fix it in the end, as for status, my motor's internals are stock and so is my sound system.

my car is riced out!

rice is nice!

... it doesn't matter what you do to the maxima. Like everyone says, its already a nice car when stock. When you mod your car, you start to notice that a lot of problems occur.

i suggest you save your money, and spend it wisely.

I have a stock max, save for a K&N filter, I am in the same boat as you brother, I don't have a lot of money, but I am saving my money to trick my ride out. Body kit, exhaust, CAI. Usual stuff, but my car will still be unique because even if I do the same stuff as other people, the fact of the matter is that my car is "MY CAR" and that is what makes it unique.

Too cold 4 mods

My Max 02 is stock, mostly, and it's staying that way. It's a winter ride and it's too cold where I live (Ottawa Canada) to play outside here for half the year. I've done real minor stuff (shifter, rsb, maybe HR springs with new struts when the stock ones are dead).
Here's my winter driving priorities: it starts every time; it has gobs of torque for highway driving; and has good creature comforts like heated seats, steering wheel, heat, heat heat.
If that sounds like a secretary car, too bad. Too bloody cold.

Not stock, but not an attention getter either... looks kinda boring actually...

Got most of my mods cheap... mostly used from other .Org members in the Classifieds forum... some good deals there....

I have to slap my own wrists to keep me from modding this car. I'm on my 6th car, and ever since my first one, I just can't help myself from leaving a stock car alone. With the Maxima however, It doesn't respond as well to engine mods as older engines with less electronics, and the $$$/horsepower factor isn't really there.

I figured that when I bought the car i'd be happier by spending extra to get all options (6-speed, leather, etc.), and so far that has worked. But if anything, I plan on adding the nice subtle Stillen aero kit, and some suspension goodies. My Max is fast enough for me, and all the cash I save by not modding the Max will go into my redneck chevy truck restoration.

im stock too...i have just added cheap mods, within my budget...i'm dying for some nice wheels, but can't afford them yet, it's either that or upgrading the sound system.
the car was already dropped when i bought it, even though some new struts & springs would be nice too.

I am pretty stock also, and I feel inadequate on here at times, but I am getting an exhaust for it. I miss my 99 with the exhaust. I need to get y and all that other stuff y'all do to it also. I guess we buy Maximas to be unique (lieu of ever-popular Accord, Camry) and we still want to be more unique. Interesting.

Stocker here.......the only thing I have is a bug shield, Half size rear window spoiler and sun roof spoiler.
I love my max just the way it is and looks it does everything I need it to do.
(plus I'm too broke to hook it up anyway)

My GLE is pretty much stock with a few upgrades: K&N filter in factory location, 35% tint and a 12' Kicker sub/JBL amp combo.

Stock.....but

My 00 is pretty much stock as well. Jersey kinda sucks because of the weather or else I would buy a set of 18". But to have to take'm off, put them on, take'm off.. ect is just not worth the agravation. Plus, this is my every day driver, to put that kind of abuse on a moded car is just silly to me.

I do however mod the hell out of my CBR 929. I don't ride it all the time, MUCH cheaper to mod then a car, and it is already fast-as-all-HELL!!!!!!!!!

This is what it could look like about $1800 latter!!!!!

I'm completely stock, I like the sleeper look. The only things I'd like are the stock 17" rims, some fogs light (my GXE doesn't have any), and a light tint. If I'm feeling really ricey one day, I might get the 00-01 SE black tail lights. That's all I want (hope it stays that way!)

Besides, if you're all modded, cops take notice of 75 in the 35mph zone!

just lower your car with some decent springs and struts and it will make the car look 100% better, lowering my car was the first think i did and made my car stand out of the crowd and held me off for a while from modding...but now i just cant stop!..lol
