Don't mind the rims... those are just for the winter... they are not exactly my taste, but for $75 each i couldn't pass them up.

anyway... after almost a month and a half of driving an automatic, and a HUGE 2005 dodge magnum, my car feels so weird now. I got in the car and started it in gear. then i was so used to the steering and brakes with the rental, the car felt so weird... but in a good way. hahah, i am kinda nervous driving it now. not to mention that my car is so much more "open" then my rental... and really really low to the ground compared to the rental. it is taking a long time getting use to.

But i am so freakin happy that i have my baby back.. not to mention all the power it has. driving a slow 4000+ pound 190hp wagon and then going to a 270+ hp "sports car" is so much of a diffrence.

man o man, its happy to be back!!!!

I want to clear them very badly, but i am too scared to do them by myself. I wish someone could do them with me. If I take them apart, DDE's are going in. but as of now, i am too nervous.

but thanks for the compliments!

I would but it is so hard to get a hold of him. I haven't seem him in 2 months or so. It stinks. but maybe once he starts comming around here more often i may ask for a helping hand. i am just worried about when i put it back together that it will not seal back up correctly, and i will get water in in.

But, i do have LOTS of new plans for my car in the works... getting some spare parts to practice on...

very nice man, i cant wait to get mine. ahhhh. i know what you are goin thru, but at least you had a nice rental.

was this an insurance thing that was being taken care of, and you asked them to do the lip kit at the same time?

Well yes and no. back in October, some lady hit me and dammaged my drivers side door, front 1/4 panel, and broke my mirror. I already had my stillen kit installed on my car, but i needed a new front lip. so i bought one, and they painted/installed for free. I am just showing the great work they did on my car.

Sealing it is a sinch. Silicon is necessary though to insure an extra seal. I would recommend silicon II from Home Depot.. it gets the job done!!

Too bad you're in RI, otherwise I could help you with the clearing.

Both times that I took them apart, I did them myself. First I took them appart to paint them. Then I took them appart because I bought the DDEs when I was drunk .

hehe, yeah i know... the rims are not the best in the world... but they get the job done. I had 4 16inch snow tires from last year on my 99 max, but when i upgraded to the car i have now, obviously it came factory with 17in rims... so i couldn't use my 16in snow tires. I seached everywhere for some factory 16in max rims, but everyone was asking for $400+. i found these rims for $70 each, and they were brand new. it was already starting to snow outside, so i bought them.

come this summer i will have brand new rims/tires on my car to complete the exterior.

I Have A Problem...

I was cold day today, and there was ice on my side mirrors... so i turned on the defrost, and the mirror they just installed was not defrosting!!! my other side mirror was nice and clear, but the new one still had all the ice on it. I am kinda upset...

i am wondering if i should call them and ask them to get me a new mirror... i really do not want to be without my car again though... this stinks.

Definately call them. If they put the wrong mirror on it they can get the correct 1, paint it and maybe install it for you on a Saturday. They really aren't that hard to change out. Maybe it is as simple as "they forgot to plug it in" but I doubt it...more likely that they didn't realize the mirror is the heated version. It would drive me ape **** if 1 mirror defrosted and the other (most important 1 mind you) doesn't.

Otherwise your car looks sweet. Sometime this summer I think i'm gonna split my headlights to clear them, smoke the inside chrome, and hopefully DDEs at the same time. If it goes ok I can give you a hand with yours. I'm in NH so not too far away.

Thanks man, that would be awesome. And thanks for the compliments.

I called up the body shop, and I am taking it back on Tuesday, hopefully they can fix it on the spot, and if not then just order the part, paint it, and then install it with having my car there until it is time to install it. Hopefully they do not take it away from me again... I am just getting re-acquainted with it.
