Hey guys i Have a 2002 Nissan maxima SE auto i have Really bad power loss after 40 car feels dead is something wrong or what?

 

MAF...coils.....use some Seafoam in the manifold...

 

that improves it consideratebly? also Coils i got no SES light so its all good plus i got my car scanned friday and its all clear

 

coils can be bad without an SES light, same thing with your MAF.

 

Anyway of checking or inspecting it , what signs should i look for ,for a blown MAF and coils

 

when you say after 40.. do u mean in first gear and you're passing 40 and it feels dead? what rpm range is that? because the past month i've got the same thing happening but it happened when i was flooring it and it'll jus pass 5000 rpm and feels like the car did a reverse V-TEC ( had an integra before my new new second hand 2000 maxima SE ) newayz, went through the forums and found thread on the VIAS problem these cars tend to have.. its when the cup in the VIAS solenoid unit not opening the power valve ( secondary path in the intake manifold ) completely or even at all.. soo i suggest you read around for that thread cause can't find it rite now.. fixed mine this weekend and car is pulling straight to redline after 5000 rpm.. lovin it too bad

 

Try this for me, hold the car to 6500 in first and manually upshift to second.

 

did you or someone else mess with your car's intake system?

Like im cruising around ,then decide to hit the gas hard and after 40 feels like the car isint moving my freind drove my car and noticed this as well.
