Uninsured Motorist Property Damage $15,000
Comprehensive(COMP) $500 deductible
Collision(COLL) $500 deductible
Emergency Road Service(ERS) YES
Rental Reimbursement(RR) $25/day, $750 max per claim
$591.60

I am not really complaining. At one point it was under $500 every 6months. That was when I was 24. The car must be getting more expensive to insure.

I paid $520 for 6 mths with the extra coverages on top of what you listed... I had Geico too...

But now that I'm married, the same coverages for both my wife's car (VW Passat) and my car are $820 TOTAL for 6 months ...

dont forget that your car was just listed as the second most stolen car in the country... the basic insurance rate for the car went up , insurers see the car as a greater risk.

Oh yeah, and since I turned 25, my rates have been steadily declining... even with 2 tickets... so I'm not sure what else to tell ya...

But I'd still say that 590 is a decent price...

27, married, no accidents. I pay I think $210/3 months for the 97 and $240/3 months for the 00. I get a nominal discount if I pay in 6 month increments. My coverage is pretty high (as high as allowed, which I have to add sucks compared to how high you can go in Canada), and my deductible is $250. Collision on both vehicles. My premium has not changed in a couple of years. Provider is Alfa, which when I signed up with them, were able to offer much lower than geico or progressive. Geico, to their own loss (go to hell), didn't want to recognize my driving past in Canada, and essentially wanted to sign me up as a new driver. It has since cost them some thousands of dollars.

*knock on wood*

Mine is basically the same as yours with the exception of the rental policy and is also through Geico. Married, no tickets (myself or wife) or wrecks in the last 5 years. My wife has an 05 Altima 2.5 SL with the same coverage. That all comes out to about $600 / 6 months. Get married and it will come down. Joking!

Also, ask them how much it would be for basic coverage on a second car (it would have to be a beater that runs well but doesn't get stolen a lot... like a Honda 4-cylinder or older Stanza or something). The reason I say this is because with a multi-car discount you may get more of a discount on the Maxima than the coverage costs for the second car equaling a net decrease in your premium even though you have two cars. Also, if you claim the second vehicle as the primary one, that would help, too!

Good luck!

$1175 every six months through Geico. 5 total points (3 insurance, 2 DMV). Geico in the state of NJ is actually one of the cheapest. Once the points clear from my record, will be going with NJ Manufacturers which is the best non-government insurance company in the state, but not available to everyone.

$474 for 6 months...full coverage from Progressive on my 01 SE. I think I could save another 10-15% if I'd pay it all at once rather than dividing it up into 6 monthly, automatic payments.

I'm 26/male/unmarried but I do get the discounts for active theft prevention and homeowner's insurance. My rates are a little higher because Minnesota is a "no fault" insurance state, but that may be changing.

Progressive has a new type of policy where you plug a data recorder into your OBDII slot and then upload the info to them monthly. My girlfriend has been doing it for about 2 months because she rarely drives and takes the bus to her downtown office. She's going to end up paying about $200 or so for a 6-month policy on her '00 Accord. Not half bad...works really well for her driving habits. I don't think I'd like them to see my data, though.

Geico. I have a deductible of $250(full coverage) which costs $496 every 6 months on the Maxima. I am 26 years old, 1 motorcycle accident on April 9, 2004. I have a 1990 Lumina(liability), the Maxima(stated above), 1991 Cavalier(liability) and a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R(full coverage) with Geico. My girlfriend is also under the policy and she is 33 with a clean record. For all the vehicles, I pay $2,132 a year.
