Crappy Stock Clutch??

How is the stock clutch in relation to durability? My clutch shouldn't be going out on me, but it is. I push my car hard, but I haven't been hard on the clutch. I am the second owner and the car only has 66k miles on it. So either the stock clutch is crap, or the people before didn't know jack about driving stick. I could use some input.,

ppl before didnt know what the **** they were doing... If ur gonna change clutch dont go stage 2 if u dont plan on going boost. Stay at a Stage 1 clutch or go OEM good clutch. And if u do change clutch put a New OEM rear main seal.

many ppl will tell you that the stock clutch will last on average 100K mi easy. Put in the new OEM and dont be hard on the car, or you'll need another replacement lol

i'm on my 5th clutch. jk, but i've had bad experiences with clutches and the owner before my sucked at driving (new tranny and clutch replaced within 7 months of purchase) tranny specialist said to put performance if you're gonna go hard on it. he strongly didn't recommend OE for me and it was against store policy to put aftermarket parts in. he got me centerforce.

Well, looking at your user name makes me think you're prob not too nice to your clutch anyway.

What makes you think that since my user name says "racer", that I am hard on my clutch? Even though I drive my car hard, I am not a total dumbA$$ when it comes to driving. I am not hard on my clutch, and in all honesty, I haven't even raced my max yet. I raced my Eclipse and I will race my Maxima eventually, but not before getting a better clutch and doing a few other mods to her. I pride myself on not being a dumb**** when it comes to driving. I know my car, and I know what she can take, I also know myself and what I can take. So there is my little speel

Chill out. I was thinking the same thing by looking at your age and your name.

OEM clutch should last you a lot longer than that.

Oh no worries man, I ain't fumed or nothin. I know, most people my age are stupid and I can admit that. I ain't one to get pissed off about stuff like that bro. My username is what it is because highperformance is in my blood. I have grown up around cars, and I am going to make a career out of cars. But back to subject. Thanks much for the advice on the clutch. Sidenote, ammi what kind of 1969 muscle do you have?

Beautiful piece of work. One of my favorite cars. Anyway, thank you for the input on the clutch. I would buy a stage 1 clutch, but I don't have the extra money, so I am stuck with a mundane OEM clutch.
