Is it recommended to change out the top hats also if you swap out to a complete new setup (H-tech + illuminas) ?

H Techs , really all that

I have a set of Eibach Pro Kits with Tokico Hp blues. Ride is still a bit stiff , bumps and pot holes especially when I have my 19"s on. Any advice on better setup? H techs with HP blues up front? Illumina adjustable shocks up front with Eibachs?

I have h-tech/illuminas and they are very good, i like them a lot...chr0nos I think the blues are an equivalent to the stock struts, so you will probably want to go with illuminas.

Damn sorry....I didn't see the date of this thread...sorry about that

3 questions:

1. those with s-tech's, any need for a camber kit becuse it lowers it so much?

2. s-tech's are the lowest without going a coilover setup correct?

3. i could give a rats as* about ride quality but i dont wanna have to replace my shocks every few months. will s-tech's be alright with non adjustable shocks such as tokico blues or kyb's? or do they need something like illuminas or agx's?

thanks guys

1. Some have needed camber kits- but not many. It depends on the skill of your alignment guy.

2. Yes- tied with Sprints.

3. They will NOT be alright w/ any of the non-adjustables available for the Maxima/I30. They will blow struts like pr0st!tutes. You will need an adjustable strut.

speaking of htechs and luminas...those of you that have them installed...what setting did you put on your illuminas? i've been hearing that 2 all the way around is good for comfort and that 3-4 is good for sports..
does anyone have a preference?

I have mine set at 4 in front and 4 in the rear. I love how it handles, you'll find that everyone has their own preference. I was riding at 3 in the front and 4 in the rear for awhile, but then read about someone who tried different settings, and I found 4 and 4 was much better to my liking, just try different settings, and you'll find yours. good luck.

definitely s-tech.. looks great, if you dont care how rough the ride is, its definitely worth how low it is.. looks mean.

IMO the H-techs are one of the best. I know the rear springs don't give you enough of a drop, and I guess that's why you said that they're crappy. Well the front H-techs are simply amazing springs compare with the drop and quality they give you, but the rears are lacking behind for some reason.

its the obvious comparison of ride comfort vs look. The ride of H tech is great compared to my old sprints but i look at the drop and sometimes wish i could be lower...but know i wont go lower cause in NJ/NY area, the streets are so bad my htech feel like coilovers. H TECH!!!!!

i live in NYC. i had the tein s-techs for 1 week. LITERALLY. put them on saturday, changed them for the H&R's the next sunday. s-techs drop IS NOT worth the compromise in ride. i love my H&R sports.
