rear dash removal

Does anyone have a write up on how to remove the rear dash? I gave it a look and found behind the rear seat, the pins that hold down the black trim. How do i open those? They look like staple, do i just pull em out? It doesnt seem like a clip. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

After extensive research on the forum I came across housecor's site and followed his instructions on how to silence the rear deck rattle. After the tidious process was over, the aftermath was worth the hard work.

i used peel and seal from lowes. used a heat gun, and it worked great. i actually tried the peel and seal on the metal shovel i have. after shoveling the entire season, the peel and seal is still on the shovel. i recommend it.

i cant remember exactly, but i think the roll is 19 bucks. you can do the entire rear deck and part of trunk. i highly recommend the heat gun, about 20 bucks from home depot. i put on some gloves and rolled with my fingers. put some muscle into rolling, and it will not come off,,,,ever!!

Peel and seal is awesome. The draw back is that it comes in long strips... but that is also a positive because its easier to handle, I lined my spare tire well with it and used dynamat extreme where it was visible (asthetic).

thanks for the site, but he tells us to " Remove 2 side seat pieces by removing bolt at bottom and lifting up". Do i just pop those out? They look like they are stapled in. They dont even seem like screws. What do i do?

Man the peopel at Lowe's do not know what peel and seal is. What does the packaging look like. Anyone from Houston purchase this at Lowes? If so which one?

Also which version do you use?

I recommend eDead for sound deadener. It's 45mils thick for a meagers $1/sqft. The stuff applies VERY easily and is bar none the best stuff out there, IMHO. Dynamat works OK, but is waaaaaaaaay overpriced.
